Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Muktrip ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities related to the use of the multilingual review platform provided by the Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • Service: The web-based review platform provided by Muktrip (muktrip.com)
  • Member: A person who has agreed to these Terms and completed registration
  • Content: Reviews, images, comments, and other content created by Members
  • Operator: The independent developer operating the Service

Article 3 (Registration)

  1. Registration is available as an Editor or Owner role.
  2. Username, password, and nickname are required for registration.
  3. Service access is granted after administrator approval.
  4. Up to 1 account per 24 hours and 3 accounts total per IP address are allowed.
  5. Using another person's information or providing false information is prohibited.

Article 4 (Services Provided)

The Service provides:

  • Writing and reading reviews across categories (restaurants, cafes, products, events)
  • Map-based place exploration
  • Automatic translation in 3 languages (Korean, English, Japanese)
  • Likes and achievement (title) system

Article 5 (Member Obligations)

  1. Members must comply with applicable laws, these Terms, and service guidelines.
  2. The following actions are prohibited:
    • Registration with false or another person's information
    • Posting content containing profanity, defamation, discrimination, or hate speech
    • Posting obscene, violent, spam, or promotional content
    • Posting content that infringes on intellectual property rights
    • Interfering with normal service operation
    • Using bots or automated tools for abnormal usage
  3. Sponsored reviews must be clearly marked as sponsored.

Article 6 (Content Rights and Management)

  1. Copyright of content belongs to the Member who created it.
  2. By posting content, Members grant the Service a non-exclusive license to use it for operational purposes (display, translation, resizing, search indexing, promotion, etc.). This license persists after account withdrawal.
  3. Members must only upload images they have personally taken or have lawful rights to use. Members are solely responsible for any legal consequences arising from unauthorized use of others' copyrighted works.
  4. The Service may resize, reformat, or generate thumbnails from uploaded images for operational purposes.
  5. The Service may remove or reject content without prior notice if it contains prohibited material, including content that infringes on copyrights, portrait rights, or other rights.
  6. Content rejections result in accumulated warnings; 5 or more warnings may lead to account suspension.

Article 7 (Copyright Infringement Reports)

  1. If you believe content posted on the Service infringes your copyright, you may report it to privacy@muktrip.com with the following information:
    • Description of the copyrighted work being infringed
    • URL of the infringing content on the Service
    • Your contact information and proof of identity
  2. Upon receiving a valid report, the Service will temporarily restrict access to the content and notify the poster.
  3. If the poster demonstrates legitimate rights, the content may be restored. Ongoing disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable laws.

Article 8 (AI-Generated Content)

  1. The Service uses AI technology to generate trend content, which is labeled as AI-generated.
  2. Copyright of AI-generated content belongs to the Service operator.
  3. AI technology is used for translating and optimizing Member-created reviews; copyright of the original content remains with the Member.

Article 9 (Usage Limitations)

  1. Daily publishing limits may apply to Editors (as configured by administrators).
  2. Abnormal registrations, bot access, or malicious behavior may result in IP blocking or account suspension.

Article 10 (Service Changes and Interruptions)

  1. The Service may modify its features as operationally or technically necessary.
  2. The Service may be temporarily interrupted due to force majeure or equipment failure.
  3. As a service operated by an independent developer, it may be discontinued without prior notice.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Service does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of Member-created content.
  2. The Service has no obligation to intervene in disputes between Members or between Members and third parties.
  3. The Service is not liable for damages arising from use, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.

Article 12 (Account Withdrawal)

  1. Members may request withdrawal at any time, and the Service will process it immediately.
  2. Personal information is deleted upon withdrawal; published content remains on the Service.
  3. The author name on withdrawn Members' content will be changed to "Withdrawn Member."

Article 13 (Changes to Terms)

  1. These Terms are effective from March 29, 2026.
  2. Changes will be announced at least 7 days before taking effect. Changes unfavorable to Members will be announced at least 30 days in advance.
  3. Members who disagree with changes may withdraw their account.

Article 14 (Dispute Resolution)

Disputes related to these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, with the Seoul Central District Court as the competent court.
