Today, I'm reviewing Enchai, a great restaurant near Gyeongbokgung Station.

and ordered just one Jjamppong.

As you can tell from the spoon in the photo, it was an enormous serving.
At 9,000 won, I actually thought they had accidentally given me a double portion.

To be honest,
I once visited a place in Pyeongtaek where Jjamppong was around 6,000 won.
That one had a noticeably light, budget-friendly taste, and when I dined at the original Gyodong Jjamppong in Gangneung, it had a rich, deeply complex broth —
Enchai's fell just a notch above the midpoint between those two.
It was clean and refreshing, which kept me going bite after bite.
Both the flavor and the spice level were well-balanced — not an intimidating heat, not an overwhelming depth, just the kind of taste that goes down effortlessly.
Next time, I want to try the Stir-fried Udon, which seems to be a popular order among nearby regulars.
I noticed a lot of people ordering it.
I definitely felt the urge to come back.
