I visited Singil-dong Spicy Jjamppong, a restaurant famous for its spicy jjamppong located about a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Singil Station.

I went with a friend, and the price is 12,000 won. When we ordered two spicy jjamppong, the owner's wife warned us it was extremely spicy and suggested we order one chadol and one regular jjamppong instead — but since we came specifically for the challenge, we boldly ordered two anyway lol. We also bought some milk to neutralize the heat, and while waiting for our food, they brought out something like udon broth, which was warm and delicious.
When our jjamppong finally arrived, it already smelled spicy before we even took a bite... I started to have a few regrets right away... lol
The flavor itself is like any regular jjamppong, but the spice level is absolutely insane... At first I thought, oh, this is manageable — but gradually my tongue went numb and my lips started to sting. I was blowing on it to cool it down and my head felt dizzy... tears were streaming down my face and my tongue felt completely numb...

I tried my hardest but ultimately couldn't finish it. The owner also brought out some jjajang sauce and yogurt to help neutralize the heat, but I still failed in the end. If you love spicy food, I highly recommend taking on the challenge!! If you can't handle spice, I'd say skip it.
