Today, I'm bringing you a review of Owol-ui Gimbap.

I remember seeing somewhere that Owol-ui Gimbap is ranked #1 for gimbap in Korea.
I was curious, so I went to check it out.
Owol-ui Gimbap is generally open from 8 AM through lunchtime only.
Looking at the exterior, eggs are piled up high.

The menu is as shown above.
The price of gimbap felt higher than I expected.
6,300 won for a single roll seemed like it was crossing a line.
I ordered the Babdoduk Gimbap and the Tuna Gimbap.

This is the gimbap I ordered,
and it looks bigger than I expected.
For those who can't quite picture the size,
let me give you a quick look...

Can you see how it compares to a fist?
It's enormous.
It's packed so full of fillings and tastes so good that the 6,300 won price tag completely slips your mind.
There's a generous amount of egg inside,
and the Tuna Gimbap had tuna filling up roughly half of it — a remarkably large portion.
Here's the surprising part —
that one slice of fish cake (odeng) was spicier than expected. Even though it's a standard gimbap, the spicy kick was intense enough to tingle your mouth, and it all made perfect sense why this is the #1 gimbap. It was delicious, and deliciously spicy.
It's easily the best gimbap I've ever had by my standards, and I'd love to come back again.

This notice recommends eating within 2 hours of ordering.
There is a wait, but gimbap comes out in batches every 10 minutes.
I recommend keeping an eye on the time and eating it as soon as you can.
Takeout only — there is no dine-in seating inside.
