Taean Mongsanpo Monggeulmonggeul Pension is located in a building notable for its curved floor-to-ceiling glass exterior. There's a parking lot on the first floor, so you can park and go in and out right away.
At the Monggeulmonggeul Pension room, opening the window reveals Mongsanpo Harbor close enough to touch. You can gaze at the sea even lying on the queen-size bed, making it a great place to rest and unwind.
At Monggeulmonggeul Pension, right beside the entrance is a mini kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and induction stove. Simple cooking seems possible.
The bathroom at Monggeulmonggeul Pension is finished in tile. The sink, toilet, and shower facilities are all in one space, and it isn't very large.
In a corner of the Monggeulmonggeul Pension room, a clothes rack and folding table are set up. You can unpack your luggage and hang up your clothes.
Through the balcony arch of Monggeulmonggeul Pension, Mongsanpo Harbor and the blue sea come into view at a glance. On clear days, even the distant islands are visible clearly, making for a refreshing view.
From the higher floors of Monggeulmonggeul Pension, Mongsanpo Beach, small islands, and even the free parking lot all come into view at a glance. It's an even more charming spot to look out from around sunset.
Climbing up to the rooftop of Taean Mongsanpo Monggeulmonggeul Pension, Mongsanpo Harbor and the blue sea unfold at a glance. Even the anchored fishing boats, breakwater, and parking lot are clearly visible from above.
On the pension's rooftop, a wooden table and barbecue grill are set up, good for grilling meat while looking out at the sea in the evening. However, we didn't book the barbecue this time.
Outside the room window of Taean Mongsanpo Monggeulmonggeul Pension, Mongsanpo Beach and the sea turn red around sunset. The sea view, close enough to touch, is impressive.
Beside the pension, a coastal hillside covered in pine forest stretches out, and below it Mongsanpo village and the harbor come into view. A daytime moon hangs in the sky, adding to the charm.
On one side of the pension, tools like basins of various sizes, hoes, and hoses are placed for maintenance. Guests staying at the pension can borrow haerujil tools for free.
At the entrance of Taean Mongsanpo Monggeulmonggeul Pension, rubber boots for tidal flat experiences are lined up in various sizes.
At low tide, on the widely exposed tidal flat, people gather in twos and threes to dig for clams. The low-hanging clouds and calm tidal flat create a relaxed scene.
I found hard clams hiding here and there across the tidal flat.
I take a close look at the pattern of a hard clam dug from the tidal flat, held up in my hand. Beside it sits the bucket for collecting the dug clams.
Over the tidal flat exposed by the low tide, moonlight and streetlight glow stretch out in long streaks.
The red lighthouse on the Mongsanpo breakwater lights up, and people enjoying night fishing have settled in. Is this actually allowed?

During my trip to Taean Mongsanpo, I stayed at Monggeulmonggeul Pension. It was a building notable for its curved floor-to-ceiling glass exterior, and there was a parking lot on the first floor, so I could park and go in and out right away. Even if spots ran short, there was a large free parking lot right in front, so there was no need to worry about parking at all.

Opening the room window, Mongsanpo Harbor unfolded right before my eyes. You could see the sea even lying on the queen-size bed, so I imagine opening the window in autumn and feeling the cool sea breeze would feel really nice. Next to the entrance there was a mini kitchen, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and induction stove, so simple cooking seemed possible. The bathroom was finished in tile, with the sink, toilet, and shower facilities all in one space, though it wasn't very large. On one side of the room there was a clothes rack, and a separate folding table. Usually there's a dining table, so that was a bit disappointing.

Through the balcony arch, Mongsanpo Harbor and the sea were visible at a glance, and perhaps because it was clear, even the distant islands were visible clearly. From the higher floors, you could see the beach, small islands, and even the free parking lot. The view from the rooftop was also great. Even the anchored fishing boats and the breakwater were clearly visible from above.

On the rooftop terrace there was a wooden table and a barbecue grill set up.

Behind the pension there were tools like basins, hoes, and hoses placed around, and they said haerujil tools are lent out for free to guests staying there. At the entrance, rubber boots for tidal flat experiences were also prepared in various sizes. Thanks to that, I went out to the tidal flat at low tide and dug for clams. If the weather is good, this stay really seems like it could be a great choice.
