This is Yeongseu Sushi (Sushi Restaurant), located at 11 Bamgol 3-gil, Sokcho-si, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, which I visited during my trip to Sokcho, South Korea.

It's known as a long-established restaurant in Sokcho, so I went with high expectations. This time I went with 6 friends.

Since we were a large group, we were shown to a private room. They said groups can use a room. It was nice for sitting comfortably among friends and eating.

There is no separate menu here, and the assorted raw fish (modeumhoe) course is 45,000 won per person. It was convenient not having to agonize over what to order.

First, the side dishes came out, and there were really a lot of them. I also felt the portion of raw fish was generous.

The side dishes kept coming one after another. Every single one tasted good.

Next, the assorted raw fish came out. The portion was ample, but the neat presentation made it stand out even more. You could tell each piece had been sliced with care.

It looked fresh and tasted good too. You can finish the meal with alraebap (rice with fish roe).

There was a dedicated parking lot in front of the restaurant. However, I heard reservations are close to essential, so it's a good idea to call ahead before you go.

It's a place I definitely want to visit again.
