I bought and tried three varieties from the Chamisul series. They looked exactly like regular soju.

This is a review of three unusual soju varieties from the Chamisul series, which I bought and tried. They are Haek Aisyeo Isul, Dujjonku Isul, and Butter-Flavored Isul. Just from the names, you can tell these are no ordinary sojus.
When I lined up the three bottles and poured them, all three were clear like regular soju. Judging by color alone, it was hard to guess the aroma or taste. I had tried Aisyeo Isul before, so Haek Aisyeo Isul was the flavor I was expecting. It's a sour soju, kind of like a cocktail, and it's drinkable.
I only had one glass each of Dujjonku Isul and Butter-Flavored Isul and threw out the rest. Dujjonku Isul had only a half-hearted chocolate scent, and I really couldn't drink any more. With Butter-Flavored Isul, I realized that soju and butter can't coexist.. It was hard to finish either of them.
I might try Haek Aisyeo Isul again if I think of it, but the others are a definite no.
